Frequently Asked Questions

What services does Zamco Technologies offer?

Zamco specializes in high-quality powder coating and finishing. We handle everything from one-off custom parts to large production runs. In addition to powder coating, we offer surface preparation including wash/pretreatment, sandblasting, and finishing support services.

Where is Zamco Technologies located, and what areas do you serve?

We are based in Caldwell, Idaho (Treasure Valley).
We welcome drop-offs and walk-ins (no appointment needed) and provide pickup and delivery service for larger jobs.

What kinds of metals and parts can you powder coat?

We accept a wide range of metals, including steel, aluminum, galvanizes, and other metals suitable for powder coating.
Our ovens are large enough to handle oversized parts, industrial equipment, architectural pieces, and custom components.

What is your process for powder coating (surface prep, coating, curing)?
  • We begin with wash and pretreatment, using advanced cleaning systems to ensure surfaces are clean and ready for coating.
  • If needed, we perform sandblasting or mechanical prep to remove old finishes or corrosion.
  • We then apply the powder coating in a controlled environment.
  • Finally, parts go through a curing oven at the required temperature and duration to ensure a durable, fully bonded finish.
What finish options and colors are available?

We offer a broad palette of stock powder coating colors and textures. If you don’t see a color you like, we can arrange custom orders.
We also support specialty finishes (e.g. matte, gloss, wrinkle, metallic) depending on part geometry and requirements

What is your typical turnaround time?

Turnaround depends on job size, complexity, and current workload. Simple parts may be completed quickly, while large or specialty jobs might take longer.
When you request a quote, we will provide a realistic timeline.

Do you have size / capacity limits (oven size, part dimensions)?

Yes. We have one of the largest powder coating ovens in Idaho, capable of handling oversized parts that many shops cannot.
If your part is particularly large or unusually shaped, just share your dimensions so we can verify fit and feasibility.

How do I submit a part for powder coating, or request a quote?

You can drop off your parts in person or contact us to schedule pickup/delivery for large jobs.
Provide details such as material, dimensions, surface condition, desired finish, and quantity. We will use that to deliver a detailed quote.

What industries or types of projects do you support?
We serve a wide array of sectors, including:
  • Automotive (wheels, frames, parts)
  • Architectural / structural components
  • Industrial equipment and machinery parts
  • Custom and specialty fabrication projects
  • Patio and outdoor furniture (refinishing or custom)
What sets Zamco apart from other coating shops?
  • Seamless integration with Lost River Fabrication - we can take your project from raw metal to fully finished part without external handoffs.
  • Large capacity and capability - our ovens and infrastructure allow work on parts many others cannot handle.
  • Transparent pricing and customer focus - no hidden surprises; we stand behind every job.
  • Speed and reliability - prompt turnaround, dependable results, and quality control at every step.
Do you offer finishing beyond powder coating (e.g. painting, specialty treatments)?

Powder coating is our specialty and core offering. If you have a finish requirement not in our core offerings, let us know so we can coordinate or refer you.

What is your quality assurance / inspection process?

We inspect parts before and after coating for adhesion, thickness, uniformity, and appearance. For critical jobs, we can accommodate customer-specified QA procedures, or inspection benchmarks.

What are your pricing factors and how do you price jobs?
Key factors include:
  • Part size, geometry, and surface area
  • Quantity and batch size
  • Complexity of prep (e.g. heavy corrosion removal)
  • Coating type, color, texture
  • Curing time and process requirements
  • Handling, masking, and fixturing needs
We aim for transparent pricing and will break out cost components when possible.
What are your payment terms?

Typical terms involve a deposit or partial payment upfront, with the balance due at delivery or pickup. For repeat or large customers, we may provide negotiated terms. Payment methods include check, bank transfer, or other agreed means.

What is your rework, defect, or warranty policy?

If a coated part does not meet the agreed standards or has defects owing to our process, we will rework or correct it at no extra cost. We request prompt notification of any issues with delivered parts so we can respond quickly.

Can Zamco handle pickup, delivery, or job site coordination?

Yes. For larger or heavier jobs, we provide pickup and delivery service. You can discuss logistics when requesting your quote, and we will coordinate transport, scheduling, and handling.

What file or part documentation should I provide?

If your parts are custom or complex, supplying drawings, CAD files, dimensional details, surface condition notes, masking or fixturing instructions, and finish specs helps us quote and prep accurately.

How do I report problems, request rework, or give feedback?

Contact your project representative or reach out via our support or contact channels. Please include photos, descriptions, and part IDs so we can resolve the issue. We value feedback and are committed to making it right.
